Since our charter in 1920, American Legion Post 82 has been welcoming Honorably Discharged VETERANS from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, we continue to welcome all military personnel serving our country. Joining our Post enables you to continue serving your God, Country and Community. Our mission is to implement the goals, aspirations, dreams, peace and blessings for our country, friends and families embodied in our preamble below.
The members of the Warren F. Hoyle Post 82 meet on the 2nd Monday of each month. A meal is served at 6:30 p.m. and our business meetings will start at 7 p.m. (cost of the catered meal is typicall $8.00). Post 82 sponsors an annual 4th of July family picnic and an annual Christmas Dinner.
Post 82 sponsor several Youth Programs, such as the annual High School Oratorical Contest; the Crest JROTC Shooting Club; Scout Troop 104; two Lady Fastpitch Softball teams; 2 American Legion Baseball teams. Most of our funds for veterans as youth program come from the concessions stand we operate during the regulars season and during the World Series.
